Recognition of Achievements

As a student you fill out the form online and then send it, including the documents required for recognition, to the chair of the examination board of the respective degree programme.

If achievements are to be recognised in the compulsory area the corresponding examinations from the degree programme at Ulm University must be used. In the compulsory elective area examinations can also be recognised without the existence of an equivalent examination at Ulm University. In this case, please enter "no PNr." in the examination number field.

As the chair of the examination board you check the application and enter the corresponding examination number for the achievements to be recognised. Also check whether you need to place the student in a higher semester. You can find the examination numbers for your degree programme by logging into the university portal as an examiner, clicking on "My functions" --> "Overview of examinations in PDF format" --> "Overview of all modules and examinations in the individual degree programmes" and then clicking on the degree programme in which the recognition is to take place.
The conversion of grades from other than the German grading system is usually carried out according to the Modified Bavarian Formula.

If achievements in the compulsory area are to be recognised the corresponding examinations from the degree programme at Ulm University must be used. In this case, please enter "no PNr." in the examination number field. After recognition you can either print the form, sign it and send it by internal mail or as a PDF by e-mail to the Student Administration and Examinations Office.
