Michael J. Proulx: Eye Tracking in Extended Reality
Zeit : Freitag , 15:00-16:00Michael J. Proulx, Reality Labs Research, University of Bath
Eye tracking is a tool for understanding human cognition, and a technology that can enable novel interactions with current and future computing platforms. Advances in computational modelling and lower-cost wearable eye trackers provide opportunities for impact in human-computer interaction in Extended Reality, with important implications for understanding human perception at a fundamental level, too. I will explore these issues through a few case studies of our research, including: the use of eye-tracking with interactive virtual environments and real-world tasks, plus novel applications of gaze for interaction in extended reality.
