Luca-Maxim Meinhardt, M. Sc.

Luca-Maxim Meinhardt ist der HCI Gruppe im Februar 2022 als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter und Doktorand beigetreten.
Er hat erhielt seine M. Sc. in Human-Computer-Interaction (2021) von der Universität Siegen. Seine Masterarbeit fertigte er in Kooperation mit der Forschungsabteilung der Zeiss AG an. 
Seinen B.A. in Mediendesign erlangte Luca 2018 an der Hochschule Ostfalia in Salzgitter. Dort schrieb er seine Bachelorarbeit zusammen mit einer Hamburger Designagentur.

 

Forschungsinteressen

Digital well-being for ubiqioutous technologies
Mein Forschungsgebiet konzentriert sich auf die störende Nutzung allgegenwärtiger Technologien und wie sie unser digital Well-being kurz- und langfristig beeinflussen. Die heutigen Smartphones konkurrieren um unsere Aufmerksamkeit, um uns so lange wie möglich in der digitalen Welt zu halten. In naher Zukunft wird Extended Reality genauso allgegenwärtig sein und ähnliche Probleme wie Sucht, Depression und mentale Probleme verursachen. 
Ich bin der Meinung, dass Technologie beruhigend und nicht ablenkend sein sollte. Daher möchte ich mit meiner Forschung in die exzessive Nutzung omipresenter Technologien der Zukunft und Gegenwart eingreifen und die Nutzer zurück in die reale Welt und zu einer sinnvollen Nutzung dieser Technologie führen
 

Laufende Thesen und Projekte

  • Investigating users' reactance to smartphone intervention strategies in situational contexts
  • Creating physical pull factors to increase user's awareness of excessive smartphone usage
  • Increasing user's digital well-being through self-aware session timers
  • Analyzing smartphone distraction during walking and investigating prevention tools
  • Creating a usage budget to increase user's physical thriving and decrease social media consumption
  • Help people to enhance their public speaking skills through peripherical displays
  • Haptic feedback for visually impaired people in automated driving to increase their situation awareness
