In July, the previously suggested e-book titles were removed from our catalogues and a new package containing over 120,000 titles from the copyright years 2020–2026, covering subject areas relevant to Ulm University, was added. As part of our Demand-Driven Acquisition (DDA) model, we add current e-books that have not yet been licensed to the catalogue. Users can suggest these titles for purchase if required. Access is usually granted within one working day.
The new DDA package now includes publisher campus licences (directly via the publisher’s platform) and aggregator titles (based on the EBSCOHost platform). As the Ulm University e-book collection is spread across various platforms, we recommend that you always searchforliterature directly in one of our catalogues:
Catalogue:global – Resource Discovery System (RDS)
Catalogue:local – Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC)
Regardless of the purchase recommendations under the DDA, the purchase request form can be used as usual for literature requests.
