The otris-privacy data protection management system is a web-based tool from otris-Software-AG for the management of VVTs (register of procedural activities) and for the recording of data protection enquiries.

This web-based solution offers the following interfaces:

  • Front end for VVTs: The information required for the initial creation of a VVT can be entered here. The data is then exchanged and supplemented via e-mail and the corresponding HTML form.
  • Frontend for data protection requests: If there is a legitimate concern regarding your own user data, a request can be made via the web interface. This then ends up in otric-privacy and can be processed further from there.
  • Backend for the service client: This web interface offers employees - in a strictly role-based interface - the opportunity to carry out the work required to process VVTs or data protection requests.

User groups

VVTs: Every server offered by Ulm University must have a valid VVT. Therefore, every service owner of an Ulm University service is a potential user of the system.

Data protection requests: Any person whose data is held by Ulm University in any form is entitled to submit a data protection request.

Application modalities

No user accounts are provided - except for the processors in the backend. Users of the VVTs and data protection requests use the web interface and then communicate with the processors via email.


No fees or charges are invoiced for the service.
