Digital Document Service (DDS)

With the Digital Document Service (DDS), copies of articles from the kiz's journal holdings are delivered to you electronically as PDF files or made available for download on our server, provided that the copyright requirements allow this. DDS can be used for literature from all kiz locations. Colour originals are also available in colour.

A prerequisite for ordering is that you have an account (or library card) in the library system. 0,20 EUR is charged per essay page.

Order as scan

Orders can be placed via the Online-catalogue or via the user PCs in the Central Library and in the Helmholtzstraße Library. Particularly urgent orders can be handled for 4,00 EUR per essay (up to 20 pages). Please indicate the urgency in the comment field.
All other ordering methods for urgent orders incur costs of 5,00 EUR per essay (up to 20 pages).

Other ways to order are:

  • Telephone: +49 (0)731 / 50 - 15544
  • Fax: +49 (0)731 / 50 - 31494
  • DDS

Delivery

Immediately after completion of your order, you will receive an email to notify you that the PDF copy can be accessed within 7 days under "My Account" in the online catalogue.

Provided your web browser and mail client are set to do so and you have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed, you can open the PDF document of the essay by simply clicking on the URL in your account. With Acrobat Reader, you can either print the essay or save it to your computer.
For copyright reasons, we are not allowed to store journal articles permanently electronically. It is therefore essential that you immediately collect the PDF copy provided on our server via your user account after receiving the e-mail, i.e. either save the document on your workstation or print it out.
