Telephone charges
Billing for extensions on the university telephone network is carried out in fixed time units, based on the charge information (formerly ‘charge pulses’) provided by our telecoms provider.
These rates are used to set charges for the departments of Ulm University and connected external users, as well as for billing private calls in accordance with Section 3, para. 3.3 of the DAV. No overhead surcharge is applied.
To simplify billing, 0.01 EUR is added to each call and the total cost is rounded down to the nearest whole cent. As a result, a call always costs at least 0.01 EUR. The current charges can be found in the price list (accessible only within the university).
Special numbers
For the special numbers “0181” and “0900”, the rates are determined by the service provider. As billing for these calls sometimes takes place months later and can be set individually depending on the caller, the following procedure has been agreed with the university:
Either the numbers are blocked entirely, or a flat rate is charged. On our telephone system, these numbers are therefore charged at the following flat rates:
- 0181 = 0.99 EUR/min
- 0900 = 2.99 EUR/min
