For safety reasons, the compact stacks in the basement of the central library will be closed to users from 3 February 2026. The ventilation and escape routes of the compact stacks are not designed for use by larger numbers of people. Of course, all items can still be ordered via the order function in the library account. To compensate for this, we will endeavour to offer additional study spaces in the library centre.
If there is a well-founded scientific interest in certain stock segments for which ordering would be too time-consuming, users can be accompanied to the stacks.(Sr)
