Due to a bug in iOS 14.x, it is currently possible that the profile offered here cannot be used on devices with this operating system version. If you are not asked for a user name and password when trying to connect to eduroam after installation, you are affected by this bug. You can find instructions on how to fix this installation problem here.
welcome can be used as an alternative, but please note that the network is not encrypted.
eduroam
Eduroam - education roaming- is an international initiative for nationwide Internet access in educational institutions. Users of Ulm University receive internet access at all participating locations after a one-off configuration.

Automatic configuration
For most operating systems, automatic configuration is possible with the Configuration Assistant Tool. This is provided by the European research network GÉANT and configures eduroam with the optimum security settings:
NOTES:
- Delete an existing iOS Eduroam profile before installing the new profile!
- Safari must be used to download the profile under iOS.
- The Uni-Ulm email address must be entered as the user name for the Eduroam configuration! Example: hans.mustermann@uni-ulm.de. The abbreviation e.g. hmusterma or abc10 is not sufficient for eduroam.
- For Android, before downloading the profile (depending on the Android version), the app "eduroam CAT" or the app "geteduroam" must be installed. Please refer to the corresponding notes or links in the Configuration Assistant tool.
- Make sure that your keyboard does not automatically fill in the form fields. Especially with smartphone keyboards, a space is often added to the end of a field.
If you have any problems or questions, please visit us in the IT consultation hour.
The eduroam configuration should be carried out on site at Ulm University and tested for functionality.
