Publishing your dissertation – how to comply with German copyright

This course is available in English and German.

This course is aimed at doctoral candidates/PhD students who have already published articles and want to reuse them within their thesis.

The workshop deals intensively with copyright issues and the re-use of own articles.

Contents:

  • What do I need to know about copyright?
  • What do I have to consider when using (published and unpublished) figures and questionnaires?
  • How can I obtain rights?
  • What do I have to consider when re-using my own articles in the dissertation?
  • How does the publication process of the dissertation work?

Organisational Details:

For this course you will receive the proof of participation in a seminar on the topic of "Copyright", which is required according to the current doctoral regulations for the Dr. biol. hum. degree.

If you decide to fulfill the requirements for “quality assurance” (“Qualitätssicherungsmaßnahmen”) of the Faculty of Medicine for Dr. med. and Dr. med. dent. candidates at the kiz, this course and the course “Good Scientific Practice” (organised by ProTrainU) must be completed.

This workshop is an online-course live via Zoom.
